The National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) in collaboration with 9 NFs delivered YAD-IT in Buala, Ysabel Province.
The National Olympic Committee of Solomon Islands (NOCSI) in collaboration with 9 National Federations delivered the YAD-IT initiative @ Jejevo and Guguha schools in Buala, Ysabel province from 2nd to 6th October, the aim is to develop and identifying youth athletes.
The initiative, delivered yesterday, focuses on providing resources, training and support to young students who aspire to be athletes in the future.
The objective is to identify talent at an early age and nurture their potential to succeed in various sports.
More than 900 students, both primary and secondary school students attend the program.
The team on Saturday and Sunday set up 3 new Provincial Sport Associations, namely; Judo, Swimming & Sailing.
In the coming weeks the team will deliver the initiative to schools in Honiara.
