Vision

To see more Solomon Islanders at all levels of society (young and old) play chess and develop their chess skills to a professional level where they can be competitive nationally, regionally and internationally.

Mission

To promote Chess at all levels of society as an effective tool to enhance social and intellectual development for all.

The objectives of the Solomon Islands Chess Federation are as follows;

• To promote and develop chess in Solomon Islands.
• To organize chess competitions and tournaments in Solomon Islands.
• To access equipment and training resources from Federation Internationale Des Echecs-FIDE through the Asian Chess Federation and the Oceania Chess Confederation Zone 3.6.
• To provide support and training resources to chess clubs and players in the Solomon Islands.

• Planning and meetings with members
• Organising and holding competitions
• Training and capacity building of our sport among young members
• Organising social and sporting events
• Awareness raising on our sport
• Fundraising for activities

The main activities of the Solomon Islands Chess Federation are;

• Provide Chess tournaments and competitions
• Spread Chess throughout the country
• Promote young Chess players at the national, regional and international levels
• Use Chess as a social, education and health tool for young people
